Magnetohydrodynamic free convection boundary layer Flow of non-Newtonian tangent hyperbolic fluid from a vertical permeable cone with variable temperature

    Get PDF
The nonlinear, non-isothermal steady-state boundary layer flow and heat transfer of an incompressible tangent hyperbolic non-Newtonian (viscoelastic) fluid from a vertical permeable cone with magnetic field are studied. The transformed conservation equations are solved numerically subject to physically appropriate boundary conditions using the second-order accurate implicit finite difference Keller-box technique. The numerical code is validated with previous studies. The influence of a number of emerging non-dimensional parameters, namely a Weissenberg number (We), rheological power law index (m), surface temperature exponent (n), Prandtl number (Pr), magnetic parameter (M) suction/injection parameter (fw) and dimensionless tangential coordinate (ξ) on velocity and temperature evolution in the boundary layer regime, is examined in detail. Furthermore, the effects of these parameters on surface heat transfer rate and local skin friction are also investigated. It is observed that velocity, surface heat transfer rate and local skin friction are reduced with increasing Weissenberg number, but temperature is increased. Increasing m enhances velocity and surface heat transfer rate but reduces temperature and local skin friction. An increase in non-isothermal power law index (n) is observed to decrease the velocity and temperature. Increasing magnetic parameter (M) is found to decrease the velocity and increase the temperature. Overall, the primary influence on free convection is sustained through the magnetic body force parameter, M, and also the surface mass flux (injection/suction) parameter, fw. The rheological effects, while still prominent, are not as dramatic. Boundary layers (both hydrodynamic and thermal) are, therefore, most strongly modified by the applied magnetic field and wall mass flux effect. The study is pertinent to smart coatings, e.g., durable paints, aerosol deposition processing and water-based solvent thermal treatment in chemical engineering

E-Commerce is commercial transactions conducted electronically on the Internet. E-commerce (electronic commerce or EC) is the buying and selling of goods and services, or the transmitting of funds or data, over an electronic network, primarily the internet. These business transactions occur either as business-to-business, business-to-consumer, consumer-to-consumer or consumer-to-business. There are a lot of innovations in e-commerce which took place in recent years. The benefits of e-commerce include its around-the-clock availability, the speed of access, the wide availability of goods and services for the consumer, easy accessibility, and international reach. The technology adopted has also gone through a lot of changes. The technology advancements in e-commerce have been discussed in the study.  The main objective of the study is to analyze the advantages of adopting E-Commerce in agricultural sector and to know the advancement in technology adoption. Agriculture is the cultivation and breeding of animals, plants and fungi for food, fiber, bio fuel, medicinal plants and other products used to sustain and enhance human life. As agriculture plays a major role for the country to develop. The study clearly helps farmers to farm with less input and gain adequate output using e-commerce. It helps farmers to shop online from where ever they are for irrigation like purchasing seeds, fertilizers and search for markets for their output. Descriptive type of research is used for the study. The data gathered is primary as well as secondary. Websites, books, journals are the sources used for data gathering. Formulation of hypothesis, objectives, advantages and limitations have been discussed in the study

Purpose: To investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of the Amorphophallus Bulbifer in Wistar rats and mice. Methods: The anti-inflammatory activity of the hydroalcohol extract of A. bulbifer whole plant at dose levels of 100 and 200 mg/kg p.o. in rats was determined with a plethysmograph paw volume difference of the animals pre- and post-treatment. Ibuprofen (10 mg/kg) was employed as reference standard. Analgesic activity was evaluated using tail flick and tail immersion techniques, by measuring the reaction time of the animals treated with either standard or extract. Pentazocin (30 mg/kg) was used as reference standard. Results: The extract showed significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities at the two test dose levels at the 4th hour (p < 0.001). The extract exhibited anti inflammatory activity of 56.5 (p < 0.001) and57.1 % (p < 0.001) inhibition compared to the control group in the carrageenan and histamine-induced inflammation model at a dose of 200 mg/kg. For analgesic activity, the extract showed reaction times of7.33 (p < 0.001) and 7.83 (p < 0.001) min in the tail flick and tail immersion models, respectively, at a dose of 200 mg/kg while the normal and reference groups exhibited reaction times of 2.16, 2.66 and8.16 (p < 0.001) and 8.5 (p < 0.001) in the tail flick and tail immersion methods, respectively. Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that  Amorphophallus bulbifer possesses antiinflammatory and analgesic properties and this lends some support for its use in traditional medicalpractice. Keywords: Amorphophallus bulbifer, Anti-inflammatory activity, Analgesic activit

Using routing paths for each packet, there are many automated sensors that can improve the management and protocol of extended WSN devices with many measurements and diagnostic methods. A simple procedure is to add full routing paths to each packet. The problem with access is that its general message can be large for packets with increasing routing routes. The iPath's Lightweight Segments is a new style for checking the selected tracks. To improve the output capabilities as well as to implement effectively, iPath is a fast startup format for restoring the first set of tracks. To make Duplicate Sin Forsman effective, two problems should be solved. The HASH function should be easy and effective, because it should work with sensitive points with limited resources. The results show that iPath offers a very high level of updates in different network settings than other complexes. Compared to Path Zip, iPath uses a lot of similarity in many fast output packages, with significant improvements. Using routing paths for each packet, there are many automated sensors that can improve the management and protocol of extended WSNN devices with many measurements and diagnostic methods. We apply the iPad and the WSN We evaluate its performance using the effect of complex simulations as well as deployed on a large scale

Introduction: Epidemiological studies show that individuals with periodontitis have a radically amplified threat to develop cardiovascular disease. CRP& TNF-α, are acute phase proteins monitored as a marker of inflammatory status, which have been identified as a major risk factor for atherosclerotic complications. Elevated CRP & TNF-α level in periodontitis patients have been reported by several groups. The present study was performed to determine whether presence of periodontitis and periodontal therapy could influence the serum levels of CRP & TNF-α in cardiovascular disease patients. Methods: Forty cardiovascular disease subjects participated in the study. They were classified into two groups. Group A (Control) where no periodontal treatment was given, Group B (Test) where periodontal treatment (scaling & root planing) was performed. Periodontal clinical parameters like OHI-S, probing pocket depth, were evaluated together with serum CRP, TNF-α, at baseline and reassessed after 8 weeks for all the subjects in both the groups. Results: The CRP & TNF-α levels in both the groups decreased but the decrease in the Group A was minimal and was not statistically significant (P>0.05); whereas in Group B where periodontal therapy was performed, there was statistically significant decrease. Conclusion: It can be concluded from the study that there can be a possible causal relationship between pathogenesis of periodontal disease and CVD as inferred from the statistical significant outcome in the form of decreased inflammatory biomarkers after the periodontal treatment.Key words: CVD, CRP, TNF-alpha, lipopolysaccharide, periodontiti
